Return Policies

Textbooks

New and used textbooks, and coursepacks, can be returned or exchanged until the posted, term-specific date.

WINTER 2024 : January 15
SPRING/SUMMER 2024 : One week after your course starts

Textbooks must be in brand new condition (including shrink wrap if applicable) with no writing or marks. All included materials and access codes that were included with the textbook must be unopened. Your original receipt is required to process the return.

If your textbook doesn’t meet the return guidelines, consider selling it back to the bookstore at the end of the term through our Textbook Buyback program.

Clothing, Art Supplies and General Merchandise

You have 14 days to change your mind about your purchase and either return or exchange it as long as you have your original sales receipt and the item is in brand new, unused, unopened condition and the original packaging and tags are intact.

Non-Returnable Items

All computer hardware, software, access codes, e-books, magazines, tickets, special orders, and clearance items are final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Returns via Mail

Items must be shipped by their return deadline and include your original receipt in the box. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to receive your package and process your refund.

Refunds are at the discretion of MacEwan Bookstore and issued against the tender type used for your purchase; original credit card and debit cards used for the purchase must be presented for a refund.
